What are the certifications needed to work in Trauma? – ED

All emergency nursing staff will have completed the Trauma Nurse Course (TNC), as well as Trauma Nurse Core Course (TNCC) or Advanced Trauma Care for Nurses (ATCN). ED Nursing staff have rotated to HUP to work in the Trauma Bay, and have participated in the ED/Radiology Trauma Nurse Core group at HUP. ED Nursing staff are also participating in Trauma Resuscitation based multi-disciplinary simulation in November of 2014, as well as in-situ simulation in the new facility prior to opening in February 2015.
